BASED ON OUR SUCCESSFUL 'A HAPPIER U' MODEL

Our skilled-based positive mindset training program is designed to help teenage soccer players develop the mental skills they need to excel in their sport. By combining the principles of positive psychology and sports psychology, we teach our participants practical techniques for overcoming challenges and staying focused on achieving their goals. Our program is centered around soccer, making it the perfect complement to the game and the lifestyle of your young athlete. Contact us today to learn more about our program and how it can benefit your team.

The program is split into 3 parts. The first two parts will be held in-person at Subaru Park and include 60 players. The program topics will include:

  • Practicing mindfulness and positive visualization

  • Responding to unhelpful thoughts in constructive ways

  • Discussing personal strengths and accomplishments

  • Developing strategies to bounce back from challenges

  • Managing stress effectively

  • Making thoughtful and healthy decisions

  • Connecting with others in positive ways, including the practice of gratitude and kindness

Participants will receive positive mindset exercises to try in between sessions, such as identifying encouraging self-talk, catching good events in life, writing down examples of personal strengths, and breathing/relaxation exercises. We offer a menu of these mindset development practices with each session, so your child can choose what they would like to try in between sessions and beyond.

Part 3 will be a virtual session held for all three teams through Zoom and will consist of a review and

check-in of the strategies taught.
