At Philadelphia Union Foundation, we are committed to changing the game on mental health. HeadFirst is our groundbreaking program aimed at promoting mental health awareness and providing support within the soccer community. We believe that mental health is just as important as physical health and that creating a strong support network is the key to a healthy, happy life.

Through HeadFirst, we offer a comprehensive program that includes

3 KEY COMPONENTS:

  1. Digital Toolkit for players, parents, and coaches.

  2. 'A Happier U' - in person education

  3. Annual Mental Fitness Forum May 14, 2024

At the Philadelphia Union Foundation, we believe in using the power of sports to drive social change. We are incredibly grateful for our founding partner Independence, whose support has enabled us to initiate this program that addresses a wide range of challenges that our community faces. From education to health and wellness, we aim to make a difference through this program. We are proud of our work so far and grateful for the opportunity to continue improving the lives of the people in the communities we serve.

MAY 14, 2024

At the heart of the Philadelphia Union Foundation is a commitment to making positive change in our community, particularly when it comes to mental health. Every year, we organize the May Mental Health Awareness Month Annual Forum at Subaru Park. This forum brings together individuals and organizations to discuss and share ideas about mental health. Through our HeadFirst initiative, we aim to focus attention on the importance of mental fitness and promote mental health awareness in our community. Join us in making a positive difference in people's lives!
